General Info

If you’re exploring dining spots around Yamato, Tak Cafe 相模大塚 is one of those places that quietly stands out. Tucked into a calm neighborhood, this Italian restaurant blends a relaxed café vibe with a thoughtfully curated menu, making it ideal whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a slow lunch.

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels welcoming and unpretentious. The layout is simple, yet cozy enough to enjoy a casual meal or even a solo coffee break. What really draws people in, though, is the food selection-especially during lunch hours. One of the highlights is the “ランチ 前菜5種盛りとグリーンサラダ,” a beautifully arranged plate of five appetizers paired with a fresh green salad. It’s the kind of dish that gives you a little taste of everything, and honestly, it sets the tone for the rest of the meal.

The menu leans heavily into Italian comfort, but with a refined, homemade touch. Their 自家製焼き立てフォカッチャ (freshly baked homemade focaccia) deserves special mention-it arrives warm, soft, and fragrant, perfect for pairing with other dishes or enjoying on its own. Meanwhile, the dessert selection is hard to ignore. The ショーケースのケーキ (showcase cakes) are displayed right at the counter, making it almost impossible not to order one. Favorites include the フルーツタルト (fruit tart), which feels light and refreshing, and the 栗のショートケーキ (chestnut shortcake), a slightly richer option with a comforting, seasonal flavor.

Beyond the food, the services here are well-rounded. If you’re short on time, takeout is available, and it’s handled efficiently. For those who prefer to linger, the great tea selection offers a relaxing way to wind down after a meal. There’s also a decent wine list, making it easy to turn a casual visit into something a bit more special. And if you’re just passing by, grabbing a quick dessert or light snack still feels worthwhile.

What makes this location appealing is how balanced everything feels. The menu is diverse without being overwhelming, the service is smooth without being intrusive, and the overall experience comes across as genuine. Based on local reviews and repeat visits, it’s clear that this spot has built a quiet reputation for consistency and quality-something that’s not always easy to find in smaller neighborhood restaurants.

What customers say?

“ I saw a sign saying that dogs are allowed on the terrace, so I went there with my dog! The staff are always on hand to check on us, so we didn't have to wait and it was a smooth experience. We went for lunch, and we got a choice of main dish and cake, salad, all-you-can-eat focaccia, and a drink bar—all authentic Italian food for under 2,000 yen! It was a steal! And everything was delicious. There's a small selection, but there's parking, and I'm curious to try the other dishes, so I'll definitely come back! I'll definitely be back. ”

“ A friend introduced me to the Sagami Otsuka branch in Yamato City for lunch. The restaurant has a stylish atmosphere, and the pasta, pizza, and cakes were all of high quality and delicious. The focaccia was also refillable, so I was full and very satisfied. The cappuccino after the meal was also delicious. It would also be good for dinner. I would definitely come again. ”

“ I've been to Chuo-Rinkan many times, but this was my first time here. I stopped in on my way back from a walk in Izuminomori. It has an open atmosphere, and like Chuo-Rinkan, the food is of high quality and very good value for money. (Lunch course, includes salad and drink. I ordered chestnut and bacon gnocchi and mushroom and truffle risotto.) It was a little after lunchtime, but it was quite busy. However, the staff were quick and efficient, so I didn't have to wait long. The focaccia, which you can have as many refills as you like, was delicious! I'd like to go again. ”

“ Visited on a Saturday morning I was the first one there for breakfast I'm so happy to be able to eat my favorite Taku Cafe this morning The focaccia was crispy on the outside and juicy (buttery) inside—it was delicious! ( *´﹀`* ) 2024.09.07 Another day~ They also serve shaved ice in the summer! I ordered mango and matcha. A refreshing dessert on a hot day is great~ But if I were to order during cafe time, I prefer the cake and drink set... They have limited-edition cakes every season, so I never get bored, and I absolutely love Taku Cafe's cakes I recommend the cakes with a tart base! 2025.8 Another day~Visited on a Saturday afternoon I ordered the ladies' lunch. An appetizer plate, main course, all-you-can-eat focaccia, cake, and a drink bar came out for just under ¥2000. The meal was surrounded by appetizers that changed daily, including raw vegetable salad, marinated vegetables, and ham. The main dish changes every month, and this time it's chicken and olive pizza. The dough is fragrant with a nice wheat aroma, and it's thin yet chewy, which is my favorite ”

“ It was my first time visiting. It was around 1pm on a hot Sunday, so I was lucky to be able to enter without having to wait. Since it was my first time, the lunch options were explained to me. I had the vongole bianco from the ladies' set. It was delicious, but somehow it felt lacking... Maybe it would have tasted different if I had ordered fresh pasta? As someone with a poor sense of taste who usually eats family-style ramen, it's only natural that I found the overall seasoning to be mild. The prosciutto in the salad had just the right amount of saltiness. They brought out all the cakes to choose from after the meal and explained them to me so I could choose. I had the melon shortcake, which was sweet, moist, and absolutely delicious. ”

“ This Italian restaurant is located near Sagami-Otsuka Station in Yamato City! I visited for Sunday lunch! I had the lunch cake set. It included an appetizer, salad, bread, main course, cake, and all-you-can-drink drinks, and it was a very reasonable price, so it was excellent value for money Every dish was delicious and I could feel the care that went into making it! The all-you-can-drink drink option also includes coffee or cafe latte, so I was able to enjoy my meal to the very end with some cake afterwards. The staff were very polite and it was a lovely, homey restaurant! I'd like to visit again soon ”

“ Both the salad and pizza were delicious, and I could sense the care taken with the cheese! The formaggi pizza in particular was so well-made and delicious that it made me wonder what the formaggi I had been eating until then was. I also had cake after the meal, but I wasn't expecting much since it was a large cake for just 500 yen. However, there were nearly 10 types of cakes to choose from, and each one was made with such care and attention to detail that I was surprised and impressed! If it were closer, it would become my favorite restaurant and I would come here every week! I highly recommend it! ”

“ This is an Italian restaurant in Yamato City. I came here with a friend and ordered the lunch course with dessert. We shared pasta and pizza, and everything was delicious! There were about 10 different types of cakes to choose from for dessert, so it was nice to be able to choose whatever you felt like. ”
